A storefront providing no-cost, promotional products for outreach to children and young adults who may benefit from early intervention and/or special education services in Michigan. Many of the products are also available in PDF format for quick access.

about the project

Two main goals for the Early On®/Project Find Store redevelopment were: 1) to make the ordering process easier for users, and 2) to streamline inventory management.  After much research, we decided that Magento was the best platform for accomplishing both these goals.

My main task was to take a design for the store and convert it into a Magento theme.  There was an extremely steep learning curve associated with theming Magento, but I eventually was able to create something that satisfied most of our needs.  I also worked with the admin interface a great deal, configuring it to meet our needs and prepared documentation for CEN staff to use.  Based on that documentation, I trained CEN staff on some of the main features of the Magento Admin.
