about amuhlou

Welcome to amuhlou.com! My name is Amy Bibbings (formerly Amy Schiffman), and I am amuhlou. This website is lovingly designed, developed, and maintained by me. I am a Front-End Developer currently for the Center for Educational Networking, located in Lansing, Michigan. Originally from the frog jump capital of Ohio (prepare for frog sounds when clicking this link), I moved to the mitten to attend graduate school at Michigan State University, in the College of Communication Arts and Sciences. I have a passion for clean, semantic code and pixel perfection. I also love jQuery and am in the process of further developing my JavaScript skills. I am an eternal student, which makes the ever-changing web a perfect fit.

When not working on the web, I spend my time cooking, and running an e-commerce store, Green Kitchenware, with my wonderful husband and sous chef, Jason

Why Amuhlou?

“Amuhlou” is a nickname given to me by one of my closest friends. Pronounced “a-muh-loo,” the nickname is a combination of my first and middle names: Amy Lynne. I liked the name and knew there wouldn’t be a ton of competition for it as a domain and online presence. So here I am. You can also find me from time to time on twitter, instagram, pinterest, and flickr.

Thanks for stopping by!
